Two-dimensional nonlocal electron transport in laser-produced plasmas.
Much effort has been devoted to the study of nonlocal electron transport in laser-produced plasmas.'J Most of the work has involved the numerical solution of the electron Fokker-Planck (FP) equation in one dimension by finite difference techniques. Comparisons with standard fluid transport calculations using Spitzer-Harm (SH)3 heat flow 2, = K ~ T has revealed the occurrence of hot-electron "pr...
متن کاملA New Two-stage Iterative Method for Linear Systems and Its Application in Solving Poisson's Equation
In the current study we investigate the two-stage iterative method for solving linear systems. Our new results shows which splitting generates convergence fast in iterative methods. Finally, we solve the Poisson-Block tridiagonal matrix from Poisson's equation which arises in mechanical engineering and theoretical physics. Numerical computations are presented based on a particular linear system...
متن کاملA Note on Two Dimensional Transport with Bounded Divergence
We prove uniqueness for two dimensional transport across a noncharacteristic curve, under the hypothesis that the vector field is autonomous, bounded and with bounded divergence. We also obtain uniqueness for the Cauchy problem in Rt×Rx under an additional condition on the local direction of the vector field.

Adams Iterative solutions of the Boltzmann transport equation are computationally intensive. Spatial multigrid methods have led to efficient iterative algorithms for solvi...
متن کاملElectron-electron scattering in linear transport in two-dimensional systems.
We describe a method for numerically incorporating electron–electron scattering in quantum wells for small deviations of the distribution function from equilibrium, within the framework of the Boltzmann equation. For a given temperature T and density n, a symmetric matrix needs to be evaluated only once, and henceforth it can be used to describe electron–electron scattering in any Boltzmann equ...
